Yeah, fair enough. It's just that ALL of my notes have labels, and it's the only one that has been hit, and it's been hit four times in one month clear across the country by four individuals who have exactly the same writing style?
Nup. I don't buy it.
But thanks for responding to my post! You're the first person I've met here. I thought this site was a graveyard.

If it has a label on it, then it's maybe not so suspicious- the few hits I've got (on different notes) normally have that sort of brief comment that someone who doesn't use the site normally would put

I was very excited to see one of my notes had received a few hits, but I am highly suspicious now. My not has travelled from Abbotsford, Victoria to Northern Territory in just a few days. The 'person' uses the same writing style each time in the comment bit.
I also find it suspicious because it's statistically unlikely that out of all the notes I have entered, it's the only one to have had four hits, and in such a short time.
Once you get a note, you are to register it, then spend it. Stop holding onto it and then saying it's gong to different places. Anyone can do that!
I urge whoever is doing this to stop. It's a silly game and makes a mockery of the money tracker.

It only travelled 2.4 km but, hey, it's still a legit hit!
I never expected a hit so soon, but I think labelling increases the chances by a lot. It seems to work for other people too.
I use small coloured circle stickers (Coles, Officeworks) with moneytracker.com.au written on them in black CD marker. It's totally indelible. It won't rub off, even over time. After a while the stickers themselves are hard to remove.
I use blue stickers for the $10, red for the $20 etc. This makes them look less obvious to shopkeepers, but still a chance that people will see them in their wallets etc.
They are probably best spent in areas where there is a high turnover of change. Cafes, supermarkets, 7/11s, fast food restaurants, fresh food markets, petrol stations, cabs etc.
I think if all notes were labelled, the system would increase exponentially and move much faster. It is time-consuming, though.
Tell everyone you know, or at least get their serial numbers off their notes!

Testing my new account/new user.

I was reading some of the tracking stats and made me wonder...is there really so much BS out there? Be interesting to know the "real" posts and the "BS" ones.

Will probably spend our note today that we "registered" be interesting to see if it turns up somewhere.

Printed piece of paper with sticky tape works just fine- fold in half firmly with the label on the inside if it bothers you using labelled notes. That's how I've gotten all but 1 of my hits

the act is there so people wont continue to write a large amount to make the note unrecognisable or hard to read. Having pen marks or a scribble of sorts isnt breaking the law as the note is still able to be identified.

Try the American standard, they know how to take a simple thing and make it confussing.
